SWA finalists for Wales Start-Up Awards

Sports & Wellbeing Analytics are delighted to be named as finalists for two awards in the Wales Start-Up Awards 2020.

SWA have been shortlisted for the Mobile & Emerging Technologies Start-Up and the MedTech Start-Up Awards.

Now in their fifth year, the awards are exclusive to Welsh companies that have launched within the last three years and provide a unique opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements of those new businesses that are making the greatest impact on the Welsh economy.

With well over 500 nominations received, SWA CEO Chris Turner is understandably pleased about the news

“I am delighted that SWA have made the final shortlist in 2 categories at the 2020 Welsh Startup Awards . I am very proud to see the progress that we as a team are making being publicly recognised.

This in addition to being amongst the finalists for two awards in the Sports Technology Awards along with recent news of our partnerships with Harlequins and Leicester rugby clubs show that the work we are doing is gaining significant traction

Professor Dylan Jones-Evans, creator of the awards back in 2016 said “this year’s competition was not only about quantity but the quality of entries which made the job of the judges very difficult in shortlisting this year.

“With new firms creating the majority of jobs as countries emerge out of recession, this year’s finalists, along with thousands of other start-up businesses across Wales, will be critical in ensuring that the Welsh economy recovers quickly over the next twelve months”
